CMR International was created in 1989 by Ludo Verrykt its founder who had more than 20 years experience in purchasing of copper bearing materials for Metallo-Chimique International in Europe and the United States of America

In 1990 the former Co. Huettenwerke Kayser in Germany became a share holder and now CMR International is now operating as the purchasing arm for these Copper Refiners in Europe. As in the year 2000 Huettenwerke Kayser was taken over by Norddeutsche Affinerie, CMR is connected to the largest integrated copper  producer in Europe.  Since 1rst April 2009 under the name of AURUBIS.

The main goal of the company is to develop markets in locations across Eastern Europe,primarily. Furthermore CMR is also active in the following markets:  Middle East, Africa and South America.

Since the beginning CMR established a network of agencies and representative offices in order to generate contacts and follow-up  deliveries. In the mean time some of these agencies became independent companies and are regular suppliers to CMR International.

For all copper bearing materials CMR operates as a consumer and quotes  prices from the refineries in those markets where it is active. Since  10 years CMR also has  a trading division for other non-ferrous materials i.e. aluminium and nickel bearing materials in order to increase the  service to those businesspartners  who are regular suppliers of copper materials.

Our philosophy is largely contained in four simple beliefs: service, speed, quality and reliability.
